Household Materials Create Uncertainty
Containers, fabrics, sponges, adhesives, and packaging are not designed for intimate contact. They may be rough, absorbent, unstable, or difficult to rinse. Hidden seams, sharp edges, dyes, coatings, fragrance, and adhesive residue can add irritation or injury risk.
Cleaning and Drying Are Difficult
Layered or porous materials may hold moisture and residue after appearing clean. Reusing anything damp, damaged, sticky, odorous, or difficult to inspect can cause problems. A quick rinse does not make an improvised setup suitable for reuse.
Choose a Purpose-Designed Stroker
Look for clearly listed material, manageable dimensions, an accessible interior, lubricant guidance, and cleaning instructions you can follow. Manual sleeves are mechanically simple, while powered models require additional care around charging contacts and electronics.
Use Compatible Lubricant
Follow the stroker manufacturer's lubricant directions. Water-based lubricant is a common starting point for many sleeves, but product instructions take priority. Stop for pain, numbness, burning, swelling, skin irritation, or visible product damage.
Clean and Store Properly
Clean before and after use, rinse away residue as directed, and allow the product to dry completely. Store it in a clean, dry place. Do not share it between people or body areas without appropriate cleaning and a new compatible barrier.
